Mustang Survival, a leader in performance marine and industrial safety gear, had a strong reputation but needed a digital experience that matched their products dependability.
So we charted a course to streamline the shopping experience, drive conversions, and enhance product discoverability—all while maintaining Mustang Survival’s high-performance brand identity.
The Challenge
Mustang Survival’s Shopify ecomm ecosystem spanned four international sites, yet customers struggled to navigate their product catalog efficiently due to poor search, navigation, inaccurate product details and listings causing friction in product discovery. Without some clear design tokens and accessible CMS updating the site was cumbersome and inconsistency occurred often.
Concept to Completion
We approached the challenge by focusing on UX-first improvements to maximize clarity, efficiency, and usability across the customer journey. Leveraging insights from previous site redesigns, we reworked navigation, search, and product presentation for a seamless e-commerce experience.

As the site grew it became a junk bin of outdated code and components across the site. we focused on components that match the brands style and developed a new Figma base to build the basis of the new site.

Improve Conversion
We created many new components based upon user feedback and analyitics tracked within Shopify. First we audited and consolidated redundant components by Introducing a dynamic product card system that streamlined information across 3,000+ SKUs. We then standardized color swatches below each product model for instant variant selection.
To Ensure users got what they wanted quickly we added quick-add-to-cart functionality to reduce friction in the purchase process. If you cant decide at a glance, we designed a comparison tool to help users evaluate products side-by-side. And to reinforce the navigation we revamped filters with descriptive tooltips to clarify product attributes.
